EDIROL announced a new visual performance package for the visual artist and performing musicians. Designed in collaboration with Digitalstage, the EDIROL "motion dive .tokyo performance package" is the combination of Digitalstage's world-famous motion dive .tokyo software and specially designed console, the MD-P1. This console represents the first time MIDI control of motion dive is possible.

motion dive .tokyo software takes a unique approach to visual performance by using a familiar DJ style interface that allows for the mixing of two visual sources with a DJ style crossfader, switches and effects.

EDIROL created a unique USB powered console specifically for motion dive .tokyo. The MD-P1 Console duplicates the software interface of motion dive and adds the benefit of being able to manipulate multiple parameters at the same time. The MD-P1 Console was conceived for use with notebook computers with side placement of connectors, and a small portable design.

The MD-P1 Console also features a MIDI input port for connection of V-LINK compatible Roland instruments and workstations as well as EDIROL controllers. By activating the V-LINK function on the instrument, pre-programmed settings are called up for instant integration with motion dive .tokyo, giving the musician control of visuals from his or her music instrument.

Tomoyasu Hirano, President of Digitalstage, says, "Digitalstage has been an innovator in the development of visual performance software since 1998 with our motion dive software. We are extremely pleased to join with the leader in audio and visual performance hardware, EDIROL/Roland, to bring a new era of software and hardware integration to the visual performance scene."

Three UM-3EX's can be rack mounted on an optional Roland RAF-70 rack adaptor. This model replaces the EDIROL UM-2 in the same price range.

The UM-2EX replaces the EDIROL UM-1SX and adds an additional MIDI-Out port for a new 1-In/2-Out (female ports) configuration at the same affordable price.

The new UM-1EX replaces the EDIROL UM-1X, 1-In/1-Out (male ports) MIDI Interface, and adds a new MIDI-Thru switch that allows the UM-1EX to be used as a standalone MIDI cable, or for MIDI to be routed back to an instrument or other external MIDI device.

EDIROL today introduced the MA-1EX USB-powered speaker system for mobile computer users. The MA-1EX is a set of small yet powerful speakers for those who need better sound and more power than their built-in computer speakers can provide.

The MA-1EX is simple to use ("plug and play") on any Windows or Mac OS-based system. It features a Bass Enhancer for a fuller sound, 1/8" headphone jack, and S/P DIF (up to 16 bit/48 kHz resolution) output. Integrated USB and audio cord wraps are provided for portable cable management.
Building on technology development achieved through a series of successful USB Audio products, the UA-101 represents EDIROL's very latest compact audio solution for PC, providing 10-in / 10-out, 24-bit/96kHz full duplex audio with MIDI I/O in a compact half rack unit. Powerful, low-latency drivers with WDM and ASIO 2.0 support complete the package. The EDIROL UA-101 allows simultaneous recording of 10 channels of audio at 24-bit, 96kHz, or up to 6 channels of audio at 24-bit/192kHz.
EDIROL announced the release of two new USB MIDI keyboard controllers, the PC-80 (61-note) and PC-50 (49-note) to address the need of simple yet efficient operation for music students and home studio musicians.
Both the PC-80 and PC-50 models use the same high quality keyboard mechanism that makes the EDIROL PCR-M series of USB keyboards such a pleasure to play. With low mechanical noise, 12 selectable velocity curves and excellent build-quality, the playability of the two new USB keyboards is their distinguishing feature.
The PC-80 is equipped with a built-in USB Audio Interface and a speaker system for a complete audio & MIDI solution, making it ideal for the education market. The PC-80 comes with dedicated software synthesizers for Windows XP/2000 and Mac OS X.
The PC-50 is a true "use anywhere" MIDI keyboard that can instantly be powered via USB as well as battery (4xAA) or an optional AC adaptor.
Just as synthesis in music prompted new waves of musical creativity so the CG-8 is set to do the same for the visual artist. The CG-8 can take in still images, create motion pictures from these and then modulate them with Modifiers and Fade Controllers. Designed to enhance live performance in today's merging world of audio and visual, the CG-8 will allow DJ's, musicians and visual artists to create stunning visual patches by easily operating knobs and controllers, just like synthesizers. Worldwide debut of the CG-8 was on April 6, 2005 at the Cocoon Club in Frankfurt at with international vj artist 4YOUREYE and dj phish. Worldwide debut of the CG-8 as "an AudioVisual event" was held on April 6, 2005 at the cocoonclub in Frankfurt, Germany with international VJ artists, such as:
